Open House London

Hundreds of buildings across London, including private residences, government buildings, and historic landmarks, open their doors to the public for free, offering a unique opportunity to explore the city’s architectural gems. Most are ordinarily closed to the public.  Open House is both an architectural and cultural event where free public access is granted to  various buildings and spaces across London offering tours and insights into their design and history. The public can enjoy free access to 800+ buildings. 

London Fashion Week

Taking place twice a year, in June and September, discover the latest trends and collections from renowned designers and emerging talents, with catwalk shows and presentations at various venues.

Last Night of the Proms: The final night of Proms in early September, this is a renowned classical music event held at the Royal Albert Hall, featuring this grand finale concert with patriotic and classical music performances. In addition, look out for the closing event of the BBC Proms season, Proms in the Park, where outdoor concerts and performances take place in Hyde Park.

London Mela

Throughout venues in London including Wembley Park, a vibrant multicultural festival celebrating South Asian arts and culture, featuring live music, dance performances, food stalls, workshops, and family-friendly activities.

Totally Thames Festival

Also known as the Mayor’s Thames Festival, the Totally Thames Festival celebrates the River Thames with month long activities including art installations, river races, boat trips, live performances, parties and cultural events along the riverbanks.

A vibrant celebration of London’s cultural diversity, featuring music, art, food, and magnificent fireworks display over the Thames. At night there is a mesmerizing light installation along the Thames, illuminating iconic bridges, buildings, and landmarks, transforming the river into a stunning visual spectacle.

London Design Festival

A city-wide festival celebrating contemporary design, including exhibitions, installations, talks, and workshops held in various venues across the city.

London Craft Week

A showcase of exceptional craftsmanship, including exhibitions, workshops, and demonstrations by talented artisans and makers across various disciplines.

BFI London Film Festival

One of the most prestigious film festivals in the world, showcasing a diverse selection of international films, documentaries, and shorts, with premieres and screenings across the city. Enjoy Q&A sessions, and panel discussions with industry professionals.

Bermondsey Street Festival: A community event featuring music, food, and art stalls in Bermondsey. Get a flavour of life south of the River Thames by attending a local community event.

The Great River Race: Over 300 boats compete in a race along the Thames from London Docklands to Richmond. The Great River Race is London’s River Marathon. It’s a spectacular boat race covering 21.6 miles from Millwall in the East to Richmond in the West, travelling under London’s famous bridges.

Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Festival: A maritime festival featuring tall ships, live entertainment, and fireworks along the Greenwich waterfront.

Africa on the Square: Celebrating African culture with music, dance, food, and crafts in Trafalgar Square.

London’s Open Air Cinema: Various locations across the city host outdoor film screenings in unique settings.
